The complex programme in a not-planned urban area and in a specific geographical situation demands a unique solution. The aim of the project is to propose the idea of the area as a whole, where the urban development, the landscape perception and, in detail, the reception area respond to the same logic.

Beyond giving an answer to the area problems, the project has to be able to communicate, the CERN complex needs to communicate, that is why we insist in a global image, with a certain symbolic power, where CERN can easily identify itself and its ambition. We have chosen the particles collision event as a reference. CERN can be easily represented by this image, and it can suggest an efficient strategy to organise the new landscape of CERN area.
