At the very heart of Milliau and Molène islands, can be found a place of pilgrimage, built on the theory of Existentialism, phrased by JeanPaul Sartre. Indeed, more than a place, the artistic refuge is a state of mind. It illustrates the idea that « Existence precedes essence ». Human exists, understands the world, acknowledges his existence into this one, and then defines himself. The artist becomes conscious of the Matter, the Time, the Body and the Spirit. All along his spiritual retreat, these steps of introspection create a process of artistic inspiration. Set in a line that crosses and composes with a variety of landscapes, they stimulate creativity.

Sand, stone, forest and tides create a rhythm and determine the access and path through the project, modifying its perception and its use. This axis punctuated by different stopping and immersing points leads to moments of realization, transmitting inspiration for any form of art. These points are separated by the studios, becoming retreat places in the journey. In the end, more than being conscious of his own existence, this pilgrimage intends to allow the artist to find his essence.
