Eucalyptus is project located in Théoule sur Mer with a captivating view of the Mediterranean see. The request of the client was to add a pool, a new bedroom and rethink the space of the existing house. The response tries to remain frugal, with a simple volume on the side , the pool on the other and the addition of two large mass on the south facade that provide shade and and a new outdoor space.

The ground floor is a large opened volume oriented toward the sea with a new rhythm of foldable windows in the facade. A porosity is also created on both side of the building with terra-cotta module that protect the inside from the sun. All the rooms of the first floor are opened to a suspended terrace with a vertiginous call from the blue of the sea.

Because we try to focus as much as we can on local craftsmanship and materials, the atmosphere of the house is firmly Mediterranean with a large handmade terra-cotta tiles floor, lime plaster on the inside and outside walls, wood joinery and glazing. The result reveals only the beauty of the materials and the talents of the craftsmen.
