The construction of this kindergarten and social center is the perfect pretext to create a space for coexistence for the inhabitants of the neighborhood in which it is located, in the city of Renens, in Switzerland. The first decision of the project is to rehabilitate, instead of demolishing, an existing old building on the plot. In it will be located the dependencies of the new social center. The decision to rehabilitate, versus build new, greatly reduces the impact of building the new program.

The new nursery building is strategically located in relation to the old one to create a series of outdoor spaces where children can live in harmony with other neighbors. An open space in which the different generations are enriched by the presence of others.
