Alcaldía Santa Fé is a proposal by Felipe Rodriguez Santiago Buendia and AR-AR for Sociedad Colombiana de Arquitectos and Empresa de desarrollo urbano de Bogotá in 2018. It is located in Bogotá Colombia in an urban setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 5.000 sqm a budget of 3.400.000 € and a ratio of 680 €/sqm. Key materials are glass and concrete.

We plan a building that recognizes its surroundings and is configured as a framework for the communal to happen, as a built perimeter that creates and promotes a new public space within the town of Santa Fé.

The building is formulated under the premise of creating public space, as the basic condition that allows citizens to come into direct contact with the institutionality, formalizing through its configuration the ideals of democracy, openness and transparency that it must transmit.

Therefore, we propose the expression of the building around two pieces of public space, which are connected to each other through a large atrium, and potentiate the condition of the building as a public institution.
