☉ Bagneux is a proposal by AHA Atelier Herbez Architectes for Bouygues Immmobilier designed in 2015. It is located in Paris France in an industrial setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 22.145 sqm an estimated budget of 38.500.000 € and a ratio of 1.739 €/sqm. Key materials are metal and glass. The concept of broken volume is explored.
This project is a 22.000 sqm office building which sits on an existing site of tertiary activities, in a district located along the RN20 road in the Integrated Development Zone (ZAC), and entirely being transformed. The challenge of the project is to build an office building, a public plaza and an underground parking garage on top of an existing developed site. The architectural concept starts with the desire to create a cloud, i.e., a protective and semi-transparent envelop revealing empty and full volumes, which happen to be loggias, terraces and offices. Another predominant idea is to create a link between the RN20 road and the public plaza. A pedestrian walkway, bordered by a series of shops at ground floor, crosses the building, thus tying together the road and the plaza. The center of the plaza has been drawn as a large patio with direct access to the parking garage.
