«Sleep on any major changes before committing.»
The client asked for a proposal to renovate his current apartment in Brooklyn, prior to make a decision on either keep his current place or move to a new one.
The brief called for a transformation of a small 50 sqm two bedrooms apartment into a one bedroom with larger areas.
We were able to achieve this by removing many of the non-original walls, creating a more straightforward layout. The reorganization of the program allowed us to take full advantage of the natural light and opening up the space into a large studio, composed by a small entrance hall, bathroom, kitchen and an open studio area.
