«Coeur de Coteaux» is located in the city of Nancy in Eastern France. It is a development of 95 housing units that responds to contemporary issues for the fabric of the city: creating new collective housing, transforming the former offices of Saint-Gobain’s headquarters into housing, and strengthening the existing woods and landscape in the plot for the residents and the city. To reactivate the place, LOCAL takes the architectural and urban intervention with sensitivity and care. The rehabilitation of the twin offices on the upper part of the site allows the creation of a bold housing project, integrated with nature. The green landscape in the middle between upstream and downstream, links different events such as a park, a vegetable garden, and games for children, while a green corridor frames a new perspective on Nancy roofscape.
