The design is located in the landscape zone of the north campus of a school. The mistake in the early planning caused a very uneven flow of people in the north and south campus, and the utilization rate of the landscape zone was extremely low. Therefore, the design attempts to create a mysterious and internally tourable and aggregatable fortress as a » landscape» and » place» together with its artistic exhibition, piano room, studio and other functions to stimulate the vitality of the landscape area.

People will approach the building along a meandering trail, so a winding path through the building is introduced. This path will lead the audience into the building in a dramatic way and out of the building at another moment. At the same time, this path is organized surround the » light box» in the central hall. The light box is filled with the light from translucent glass, and at the same time, the homogeneous translucent light is traversed by a strong solid light from the top opening. So generally, this is a «translucent light box traversed by routes and solid light».

Visitors are advised to slowly rise from the ramp on the right side of the entrance courtyard and directly enter the central » light box» with translucent glass on one side of the ramp so that the visitor’s experience will gradually change from daily to nondaily «light box». The ramp in the south facade is the end of the route and connects with the entrance ramp at the starting point. And it is parallel to the ramp in the central hall, so people can pass straight to the outdoor ramp directly from the central hall. Daily users enter from the atrium entrance.

The central light hall is climax of the space. Translucent light diffuses the whole space from the south facade and is simultaneously traversed by solid light from the top. Translucent light, as the matrix of solid light, eliminates the dual opposition between light and shadow, making the light here exist independently of darkness and become » pure light» that is » pure and unified with itself and only has a very light relationship with itself. The expression of light here is no longer the contrast between light and shadow, but the pure light that is materialized, tangible and touchable.
