For the social, architectural and landscape construction of the “The Garden” eco-park designed as a welcoming space for the Marcon community, with playgrounds for children, areas dedicated to sports, culture, activities and associative events, there are define 4 criteria that specify the proposal:

Definition of programmatic relationships

An intervention criterion that seeks to accommodate the program by ordering it rationally through the creation of three levels of leisure within the park: first an active recreation area associated with sports, in the center, as a structuring axis, an area of transition associated with cultural development with versatile spaces for multiple events and finally a passive recreation surface associated with the family. Looking, with this zoning, to ensure a healthy and quiet arrangement of the architectural program, in addition to the presence of people of all ages and social groups at different times within the different areas of the park.

Geometry as a circuit of integration and education

Generate a space that encourages the search for motivation and tranquility through routes that enhance the geometry of urban planning, dividing programmatic spaces and connecting the community with the natural environment, through the use of materials in correlation with ecological elements such as cobblestones, stones and compacted earth for the trails, in addition to wood and stone for furniture in order to encourage the care of natural places and generate ecological awareness, and finally the provision of informational elements about the landscape and species of the park to encourage learning and make the tours a museographic subject. Finally, these trails end in spaces for socialization and cultural recreation.

Development of the humid subtropical landscape

The vegetation is developed as a fundamental piece in the proposal since this is what gives the project the landscape character to educate, guide and protect people, with species of subtropical humid climate belonging to the intervention zone. In addition, the topography allows to confine the park in a subtle way and ecologically recover the Fossa-Storta River through landscape species.

The landscape museology of the project «The Garden» involves two components of the classic Italian garden such as sculptures that are reinterpreted with natural elements and the «boq» associated with other types of minor species. On the other hand, there is a gradual re-naturalization of the landscape from the architectural program through the path to the major species that delimit the park.

The conceptual inclusion of the classic and formal Italian garden

Adopt all the tectonic and conceptual elements offered by the construction of a classic Italian garden as an extension of the interior architectural space that searched to facilitate walks, conversation and meditation being this thought for the entire Marcon community becoming a place that besides feeding The intellect as the main aspect, develops sports activities and establishes social and family relationships.
