Faro de Murro di Porco is a proposal by Benjamin Nicaud and Nicolas Pabion for Young Architects Competitions in 2015. It is located in Isola Italy in a seaside setting. Its scale is small. Key material is plaster. Review the 6 proposals for the same competition.

The architectural bias of this project reacts to the power and the omnipresence of the landscape. Focusing on the theme of creation, the project provides a diversity of atmospheres, an internal world set back from the rugged landscape.

Thus, the lighthouse sea hotel proposes residences gathered around shared spaces, a temporary exhibition in the base of the lighthouse and a restaurant. Each place of residence is composed of a bedroom and a creation space, lit up by the patio.

Inserted between the existing buildings, the project manages to gather the different parts of the complex into a coherent whole. The meandering geometrical shape of the architectural intervention allows the hotel to twist around the isolated ruin to create a courtyard.
