Logistic building in Genestrerio is a proposal by ABCG architettura developed in 2012. It is located in Genestrerio Switzerland in an industrial setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 30.000 sqm. Key materials are concrete and glass.

The building is 30.000 mq and It has been designed to be a very simple, flexible box. It’s square and compact shape performs different tasks: the best sun exposure, the best energy performance and the most logical inner organization. On the ground floor there are placed the office area, composed by the changing rooms, the relax area, the cafeteria and the offices, and the logistical area of the building. The goods enter from the inbound docks into the flow that runs in a circular way around the central cores back to the outbound docks. This floor is mostly glazed in order to satisfied the lighting regulation and laws, the doors and windows are characterized by high thermal and acoustic performance glasses shaded by external electrical curtains. In the central cores are placed 6 industrial elevators that bring to the upper warehouse. This upper floors are organized as a strongbox fully covered by prefabricated insulated concrete panels. The structure is composed by prefabricated pillars, beams and floors , and by concrete cores for the fire stairs and elevators made in situ.
