☉ Lordelo ABC is a winning proposal by Studio Pina fr-ia atelier and Luis Vitorino Caleiro for Porto Municipality designed in 2021. It is located in Oporto Portugal in an urban setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 18.500 sqm. Key materials are concrete and metal. FUSAO collaborated as visualizer. Concepts such as densification new development and balcony are explored.
A competition for three buildings in Porto, A, B, C, for accessible housing. The three buildings are very different from each other in size and shape. A is a long 5 story indoor gallery, B is a 15 story tower, and C is a curved exterior gallery. Despite of the different typologies, the overall response to the project is one, the structure, the balconies, the metallic framing and the fluid dialog between the three. We tried to do the opposite of what is pre-conceived as social housing, to not mimic the environment, and propose something that would be in direct contact with the park, to prolong the indoor space to the exterior.
