MiA Floating Museum & Wetlands Centre is a proposal by Parallel Collective for MIA in 2020. It is located in Fetsund Norway in a forest and riverside setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 2.000 sqm. Key materials are glass and wood. Review the 3 proposals for the same competition.

The new floating museum and wetlands centre emerges from the banks of river Glomma as a gateway towards the natural reserve area. Wooden and sinuous, the building’s form becomes part of its context and surrounding ecosystem. A continuous landscape experience offers views to the surroundings and provides a series of indoors and outdoors activities and exhibition areas.
