Mini Midi Maxi is a second prize competition entry by BothAnd Architecture GmbH for Municipality of Oberlunkhofen in 2023. It is located in Oberlunkhofen Switzerland in a countryside setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 2.700 sqm a budget of 8.000.000 € and a ratio of 2.963 €/sqm. Key materials are concrete and wood. Studio Diode collaborated as visualizer.

The proposal for a gym on the countryside consists of a concept that is both resource-saving and compatible with the neighborhood for all three potential expansion stages. To reduce construction costs, the architecture aims to provide a maximum of compactness as well as a minimum of landscape intervention for all stages of development. The sloping terrain allows to address two entrances and outdoor areas on two different levels to ensure polyvalent functionality as well as disentanglement of user flows. The consistency of simple construction principles and appropriate materialusage characterize the expression and appearance of the building in form of material layers – both inside and outside. The result is a modest and clear architectural language that does justice to the typology of a contemporary sports building concerning all stages of future development. Mini Midi Maxi.
