New bridge in Banja Luka is a proposal by Gubahámori designed in 2019. It is located in Banja Luka Bosnia and Herzegovina in a riverside setting. Its scale is medium. Key materials are concrete and stone.

We see the new bridge as an opportunity to create non-existing urban scenarios with natural and built environmental elements in the heart of the city.

The bridge itself is the place where 2 entity meet: the natural environment evolving from the new urban park and the river, and the built environment, the structure of the urban infrastructure.

The body of the bridge has a simple, dynamic form leaning on an adventurous viewpoint.

Copenhagen style bicycle lanes along the north side of the bridge: lanes separated from the motorist and pedestrian traffic allowing each to travel more safely on the same network.

The bridge itself is a concrete-steel composite structure with a steel truss main load bearing structure. Between the transversal supporting structures the concrete bridge deck works together with the 3 main longitudinal truss structure, that are supported at 3 points. Besides the two bridge heads, the third point of support is hidden inside a man-made rock structure, in the river.
