The architectural image reflects the functional overlapping through a stratigraphic articulation of the building, composed of a basement, corresponding to the ground floor rooms, surmounted by three emerging bodies, organised according to clusters in a didactic landscape perspective open to the green at all levels. The three towers, hollowed out in their interior, shift with respect to the base perimeter, characterising the stereometry of the architecture with a sequence of luminous courtyards.

The base acts as a hinge element between the various towers, and is characterised externally by a modular scansion of smooth GRC cement cladding panels, whose red colouring evokes the colours of the local earth, rich in iron hydroxides and clay minerals, and tends to give the building a contemporary Mediterranean architectural identity. The upper levels are characterised by a similar ribbed cladding that accentuates the play of light and shadow. The internal courtyards, on the other hand, are characterised by a continuous glazed façade punctuated by wooden mullions and horizontals, which give a more natural appearance to these open-air spaces.

In order to meet the requirements related to the principle that the new building must contribute to a general reduction of the impact on the environment through the use of materials that are easily disassembled and recyclable at the end of their life, we have provided for the construction of a structure with X-Lam load-bearing partitions and linear steel elements.

The various roofs of the school are treated with intensive green roofing. It represents the reproduction, on the roof, of the traditional garden on the ground, enhancing the aesthetic and functional component of the roofs, through a wide choice of vegetation and careful planning of the usable spaces.
