The location which will host the new Science Centre is a site with an amazing natural and historical value and it is since many decades under ambitious redevelopment projects, which are never actually been completed. The project of the new building wants to create the energy in order to let become the new building itself a new cultural engine and a new beginning for completing the urban planning of the area. The project proposal therefore not only wants to redesign a building, but wants to related it with the surrounding context. The building will respect the history of the old burned building and it will express innovative architectural elements, in line with the museum contents. The contents will be exhibited in an articulated space, able to fascinate the visitors and functionally effective. The building wants to be an example of hosting not only innovative contents, but, thanks to its formal, technological and functional characteristics, it becomes itself an element with learning contents.
