The «Sailor School» project site offers a unique 180° panorama of  the city of Arendal and its coastal landscape. The concept of the project is based on the idea of Arendal as an important coastal town and the site’s unique topographical character, based upon three elements gathered in a single construction. «The Earth» contains large facilities as a panoramic swimming hall and spa complex a highschool and kindergarten. «The Horizon» is a public space with recreational and sport equipments. Finally «The Sky» is the towers on top of it which provide commercial and residential facilities as student housing, hotel and offices.

The new construction will be a landmark building representing a sustainable and future-oriented town. The project is part of a global strategy to make Arendal a major destination in Southern Norway. The main purpose is to create a new urban zone in the town of Arendal with unique opportunities for private and public services.
