The project has the particularity of being conceived as a single building, with an orthogonal layout, in an absolutely natural location. In each of the limits resulting from the existing slope, the proposal tends to create a unitary strategy and image in the complex in order to contribute to an idea of integration with the cliff in an urban park that is truly experienced by its users. Having said that, the urban park space takes on greater importance, as it is the area responsible for connecting the upper part of Campo de Ourique to the new facility. It is therefore a community space, but also one of permeability and respite in the neighborhood and the city. In terms of location, the new building occupies a privileged position in the total intervention area, allowing it to be used as an extension of the connecting spaces that already exist in this area, namely Rua Fresca. On the other hand, the building benefits from its proximity to the Social Center, contributing to a unique joint synergy, creating a common space for both urban complexes, promoting a relationship between the consolidated neighborhood and the building to be proposed. The existing trees are to be removed to make way for the new building, which in turn will allow new trees and other species to be planted.
