Xi’an Train Station is a finalist competition entry by Chinello Briones for Young Architects Competitions in 2020. It is located in Xi'an China in a countryside setting. Its scale is medium. Key materials are concrete and glass.

The architecture is born from nature and it develops as a big rectangular roof, an archaic form to cover the railways and contain a huge number of restaurants and shops where get relaxed and enjoy while the waiting moments.

At the ground floor the passengers are invited to get into the station through a promenade between little hills made from natural terrain that support the big equipped roof. The passangers have the possibility to walk up to the roof garden and enjoy the views. The station is like a big bridge over the railways, a volume that respects the environment as an antithesis between rural traditional landscape and the technological atmosphere of speed.
