Youth center in Aranguren Valley is a proposal by VERNE Arquitectura for Ayuntamiento de Multiva in 2022. It is located in Multiva Spain in an urban and park setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 1.500 sqm. Key materials are glass and wood.

The design presented is intended to be a building that houses the necessary spaces for the youth of the Aranguren Valley. It is located in the Entremutilvas area, in the Aranguren Valley (Navarra) on a plot of very unique geometry and location. Thus, the concept of the design emerges essentially from both circumstances: the program of the building and its singular location.

The concept starts from the way in which the program is arranged and understood. In the first place, an «agora» is located in a central position in the complex and is configured as the most unique space in the building. A space through which the rest of the uses are connected and which has a large area to carry out activities, typical of the classic concept of “agora”: debates, talks, meetings, exhibitions, etc.

Around the agora, therefore, the rest of the elements are placed following a very clear logic: the outdoor covered spaces are placed on the east and west sides of the building, which allows the connections of these spaces with the elements that already exist in the plot. Towards the west there is a connection with the -small soccer field and the swings area; and to the east, there is a connection with the trial bikes area. Instead, the interior spaces are placed on the south-north axis. Thus, towards the south, the workshops are connected to the main traffic street (Plaza Arbide) whereas the rest of the elements of the program are arranged in the north, linked to the most open views towards Pamplona.
