While developing the proposal for the G. Pascoli School, the main goal has been to provide a stronger identity and autonomy to a building which in the current situation looks like the mere result of a functional organisation.

In order to implement this process, the project points out the building’s features to reveal its spaces. This is achieved through the improvement of the space perception. The project guideline has been a complementary approach to the building: on one hand, the concept of the permanence, its value and perception with the inclusion of mass elements; on the other hand, the ephemeral, the temporary, emphasised with a strong flexibility among spaces.

One of the main aspects of the school of the future is to be a place opened to the city. For this reason the project aims to create a public space as an element according to the urban structure of the city, aiming to produce deeper value than the simple shape of the building itself and its space.
