Rebild National Parkoffers some of the most dramatic and ‘authentic’ landscape in Denmark.
The new Info Portal is placed on the edge of the town Rebild and the Rebild National Park. The project plays with the existing surrounding landscape, and the new building becomes a part of the National Park rather than a part of the city. The landscape is stretched from west towards the parking lot and further towards the site.

A round building stands out in between the two existing buildings, Rebild Hus and The House and Folk Museum. The striking facade screen is very attractive and makes the visitor sense the light and life fragments of the indoor narratives. The facade material is Corten-steel plate with a beautiful red patina and a surprising pattern that mimics the trunks and foliage of the big forest.

Behind the screen is a covered outdoor area – a courtyard. From here the visitor can look into the indoor exhibition area and have the most important information about Rebild National Park. The courtyard both gives an introduction both to the Information Portal and to The Rebild National Park.
