Kenilworth Lido is a proposal by Studio Bates Rai developed in 2019. It is located in Kenilworth United Kingdom in an urban setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 1.000 sqm a budget of 10.000.000 € and a ratio of 10.000 €/sqm.

Studio Bates Rai have been working with a community group to design a new 25m lido within historical parkland in Warwickshire.

The proposal demolishes a plant room within the existing 1980s pool complex to make way for a new outdoor pool and public space that address the neighbouring lake.

The orientation of the new pool conforms to the order of the landscape, rather than the existing pool buildings, and offers swimmers long views across the lake and valley towards the 12th century Norman castle on the horizon line.

The proposal also remodels the existing indoor pool, relocates changing rooms and introduces a new cafe.
