Kvosin Link is a finalist proposal by jaja architects designed in 2012. It is located in Reykjavik Iceland in an urban setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 7.500 sqm. Concepts such as fragmentation and lattice are explored.

In our proposal we suggest making a contribution to Kvosin’s historic development through meeting the scale of the existing buildings on all three adjacent squares, whilst simultaneously strengthening the present urban pattern of the neighbourhood. By densifying and upgrading the existing perimeter block, we are able to redefine and frame the adjacent public spaces. With its central location in the heart of Kvosin, the combination of existing and new, built and urban, city and hotel are able to be read as a coherent, yet heterogenic whole.
