Lo spuntone is a thrid prize competition entry by Cinque A developed in 2020. It is located in Montalcino Italy in an old town setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 15.000 sqm a budget of 13.700.000 € and a ratio of 913 €/sqm. Key materials are concrete and stone. Studio Bark collaborated as visualizer.

The project represents the volumetric and functional transposition of the many morphological, environmental and historical features of the area. This approach, with the design of a new topography, brings together the unique aspects of the site’s landscape, which today are rather fractured due to the area’s degraded condition. In this context, it is therefore important to recover the main elements, and transform them into the project matrix
