MAP «Martinsicuro Arts and Performances» is a multifunctional space that the city of Martinsicuro will offer to the community. The intervention will redevelop the city centre, providing to the users services lacking nowadays and new opportunities. The programmatic mix is quite ambitious, aiming to meet the requirements of the brief but also to suggest unexpected relationships between spaces and functions. The result is a building with a simple morphology, but lively and stimulating in the uses and management methods. MAP is a multi-purpose centre where arts, entertainment, recreation, leisure and shared programs relate, compare and hybridize.

The building stands as a showcase of the city and for the city. It is a building designed to run on 24h/7, which will have the merit and the responsibility to repopulate Piazza Cavour a improving the feeling of safety, especially in the evening. The facade, largely glazed, when illuminated at night allows mutual visibility between the square and its interior spaces.

At the ground floor a wide lobby greets the visitors at the entrance from Piazza Cavour, on the right the information point and the box office. The slightly sloping foyer, that can be easily transformed into an exhibition space, leads the visitor till the café that overlooks Via Colombo, oh the other edge of the building. A small children playroom is also located on the GF. The first floor is mainly occupied by the 5m height auditorium for 250 seats.

The auxiliary spaces gravitate around it, smaller, flexible and easily accessible from the community. On the short sides of the auditorium: on the North the backstage reconfigurable into a ballroom, on the South a multimedia room can be rented out for private screenings or can be open to implement the audience space of the auditorium. Along the longs sides, on the East small office spaces can be used for a meeting rooms or for study sessions but they can also be transformed into private audience balconies, on the West the ramp that run through the all building can also host standing audience.

The rooftop is mainly accessible, able to host big-size events or just use as panoramic terrace overlooking Piazza Cavour and glancing towards the sea on the East.
