The future is unpredictable. Therefore we need to buildt buildings that are flexible, can transform over time, and are built to accommodate new, yet unknown programs. By replacing the concrete building system with a simple wooden column/beam system and incorporating a flexible buildingstructure from the start, the building can change over time. Extra ceiling height on the top floor and the inclusion of flexible demountable decks enable the building to accommodate whatever programs the future may require. By incorporating flexibility from the start, we achieve a structure which is profitable in a longer perspective. Financially, socially and resource-wise.

A building for the future

It is our hope that the last parking garage in Ørestad will be a building for the future. Where the larger expense, right now, leads to long-term profitability and where the imbedded ressource «economy» of the materials is treated with the same gravity as the construction costs. For the sake of our future.
