Santa Claus Logistic Center is a proposal by Benoit Bourd for Ruukka Challenge designed in 2014. It is located in Oulu Finland in a countryside setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 12.000 sqm. Key material is wood. The concept of enclosure is explored.

Santa Claus House is placed in the heart of the forest…and is warm, welcoming, environmentally. This project is developped around this idea: Living surrounded by trees, in close connection with nature. The structure follows the shape of the site, a frame is created and logistic buildings are slipped under the trees. In the center of this forest, a glade hosts Santa House (offices, reception, restaurant). The whole project becomes a flexible structure at the boundary between nature and architecture. It can grow along weft and needs. This building is a signal by its shape, an imprint in the landscape and the spirit. Discrete and in harmony with nature, Santa Claus Logistic Center follows the idea of his house in Lapland.
