Schulanlage Tüffenwies is a proposal by Dürig Ag for City of Zürich in 2017. It is located in Zürich Switzerland in an urban setting. Its scale is large with a surface of 15.000 sqm a budget of 81.000.000 € and a ratio of 5.400 €/sqm. Key materials are concrete and metal. Filippo Bolognese collaborated as visualizer.

The tension between limited space and a large program leads to a stacked arrangement of uses, to a vertical campus. The gap as a layer between the classroom and gymnasium body – the «deck» – also serves as a break area. Students and teachers step outside after a maximum of three floors. The atrium at the heart of the school building is multifunctional and provides added value for the school and, during off-peak hours, for the neighborhood.
