The road to Baleal is the path that passes across an isthmus and the village spreading until the Fortress which ends up in the land mass. So the lengthwise proposal works as the extension of the path to the sea.

The program, scattered along the path, hides the roof coverings volumes into the field. This subtraction avoids any landscape impact, furthermore, the cut of the rock let show the shape of its layers.

Similarly to a conventional theatre, a sudden level change occurs through the vomitorium. The indoor space is compressed and tight, creating a funnel of light, which gives way to the open and expanded space of the stage.

Thanks to its final expansion, the view of Pomba´s Island, which is surrounded by water, is framed by the rock, acting as a backdrop and part of the stage.
