Auditorio de Acilia-Dragona is a proposal by Alcolea + Tárrago for Comune di Roma designed in 2011. It is located in Rome Italy in a park setting. Its scale is medium with a surface of 2.176 sqm an estimated budget of 4.012.320 € and a ratio of 1.844 €/sqm. Key material is concrete. The concept of folded facade is explored.

As in other recent occasions, the proposal is developed around the idea of simplicity, obtained by a simple, lyrical, serene, and evocative architecture. We propose a double concert hall, which allows flexibility and versatility for any musical or theatrical event. It has an exceptional acoustic performance (tested in similar rooms), and permits events of different capacity. The building is aligned to via Umberto Lilloni, allowing full continuity of the park. The auditorium is partially buried to minimize the overall height. Main access faces the future park through a piazza, and a secondary access is set in the opposite facade. The atrium can be used as an exhibition space, fully open to the garden and houses the main stairs in an area of great beauty. Service access, loading and unloading, are located to the north facilitating the stage operations. The rooms for performers and offices are organized in various heights above the secondary access. We also propose the roof as an outdoor auditorium for those warm summer nights in Rome.
